Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy in another bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time to the creamed mixture, then mix in vanilla extract, orange zest, and juice.
- Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Glaze with powdered sugar mixed with fresh orange juice.
