Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Vegetable oil or beef drippings (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a muffin tin inside to heat.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, milk, eggs, and salt until smooth.
- Carefully remove the hot muffin tin from the oven and add about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil or beef drippings to each cup.
- Return the tin to the oven for about 5 minutes until the oil is sizzling hot.
- Pour the batter into each muffin cup halfway.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes without opening the oven door until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve immediately with your favorite roast and gravy.
