Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cake flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, cold
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 4 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/8 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cake flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a stand mixer bowl, beat the cold butter with light brown and granulated sugars until creamy. Add the cold egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Fold in chopped chocolate, remaining chocolate chips, and walnuts.
- Using a large cookie scoop (about 1/2 cup), portion out the dough into balls on prepared sheets. Press extra chocolate chips onto each ball.
- Bake for 12 to 13 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool for about 5 minutes on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
