- 1 batch 5-Minute Hard Caramel
- 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
- 16 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 3¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups dark chocolate (coarsely chopped or chips)
- Sea salt flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the hard caramel and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine light brown sugar, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until well mixed.
- Gradually add baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, and flour; stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in dark chocolate pieces and prepared hard caramel.
- Scoop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet with space in between each cookie.
- Bake for about 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown; sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
