Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix beef cubes with white vinegar, sugar, paprika, cumin powder, coriander powder, and cinnamon. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Heat vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until golden brown; add garlic and ginger.
- Add marinated beef to the pot and sear on all sides until browned. Pour in remaining marinade.
- Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 1.5 hours until beef is tender.
- Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot alongside crispy fries or steamed rice.
