Ingredients
- 10 oz Craisins
- 1 1/2 cups sugar (plus extra for rolling)
- 1 cup Crisco
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine Craisins and 1 cup water; bring to a boil, then simmer until liquid is absorbed. Let cool.
- Mix flour and baking soda in a bowl.
- In another bowl, cream together sugar, Crisco, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add the cooled Craisins and flour mixture alternately into the wet ingredients; stir until combined.
- Shape the dough into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and roll in sugar.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until edges are slightly browned.
