- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2–4 very ripe bananas
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a loaf pan with butter or oil.
- In a mixing bowl, blend melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Mash the ripe bananas and mix them into the butter-sugar mixture.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; stir until combined.
- Fold in baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan evenly.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow cooling briefly in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
