- 4 cups powdered sugar for frosting
- ¼ cup milk for frosting (adjust for consistency)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth; gradually add sugar and eggs.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients alternately with milk; mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes for 10 minutes in pans before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Prepare frosting by mixing peanut butter and softened butter; gradually add powdered sugar and milk until creamy.
- Assemble the cake by layering with jelly and frosting between the layers.
