Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 black tea bag (or 1 tsp loose-leaf black tea)
- Orange peel from 1/2 orange
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tsp brown sugar (or to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk (or preferred milk)
- Orange peel twist or slice for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a low boil. Add the orange peel and cinnamon stick, simmering for about 5 minutes.
- Strain the infusion into a cup and add a black tea bag. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract while hot.
- Heat your choice of milk until hot but not boiling. Pour it into the brewed tea mixture.
- Garnish with an orange twist or slice before serving.
