Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: Combine chicken pieces with lemon zest, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Cook the pasta: Boil salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add marinated chicken in a single layer and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the sauce: Lower heat, add heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Toss cooked linguine into the skillet.
- Serve immediately: Plate the dish and garnish with extra lemon zest if desired.
