Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¼ cup corn syrup (light or dark)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups pecan halves (or chopped pecans)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, flour, and salt until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared dish.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, and vanilla until smooth; stir in pecans.
- Pour filling over the crust and bake for an additional 30–35 minutes until set.
- Let cool completely before slicing into squares.
