- 2 cups whole milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp molasses
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine whole milk and heavy cream. Stir gently until warmed through (do not boil).
- Add semi-sweet chocolate chips and cocoa powder to the warm milk mixture. Whisk until smooth.
- Stir in brown sugar, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and molasses. Continue whisking until well combined and heated through.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream, sprinkling with cinnamon or nutmeg, and crushed gingerbread cookies for extra flavor.
