  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 2 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground clove
  • 1/4 ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 2 Honey Crisp apples, peeled, cored and pureed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in milk and vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in pureed apples gently.
  5. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool before frosting with cream cheese frosting made by beating cream cheese and butter together with powdered sugar until smooth.
