  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. For the filling, mix melted butter with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the filling on top, then add remaining batter followed by the rest of the filling. Swirl gently for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Drizzle icing over warm bread before serving.
