- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter with granulated sugar, then whisk in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract, red food coloring, vinegar, and cocoa powder. Stir in flour and salt until just combined.
- Reserve 1/4 cup of brownie batter in another bowl and pour the remainder into the prepared pan.
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth; mix in powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Dollop reserved brownie batter on top and swirl gently with a toothpick or knife.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until set; let cool completely at room temperature.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into squares.
