- 2 pounds lean ground beef (or ground turkey or chicken)
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cans (15.5 oz each) kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
- 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef with diced onion in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked; stir in garlic for one minute.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker.
- Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and chili seasoning; mix well.
- Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–5 hours.
- Serve hot with your choice of toppings.
