Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/2 cup dry white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Flour (for dredging)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and one tablespoon of butter; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and cook sliced mushrooms with remaining butter and Italian seasoning until softened.
- Add minced garlic; cook briefly before stirring in white apple vinegar to deglaze the pan.
- Pour in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet; simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
