  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup (113g) melted butter
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 cups (256g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined. Stir in flour and set aside.
  3. In another large bowl, mash ripe bananas, then mix in melted butter, both sugars, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream until well blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into each loaf pan; layer with cream cheese mixture; top with remaining batter.
