- 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar (for the dough)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Dried Cranberries
- 1 Tablespoon Orange Zest
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar (to coat)
Instructions
- Cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in salt and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add flour and orange zest, mixing until just incorporated.
- Fold in chopped dried cranberries until evenly distributed.
- Chill the dough wrapped in cling film for at least one hour.
- Roll the chilled dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Place on a lined baking tray and bake at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 15 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom.
- Dust warm cookies with powdered sugar immediately after taking them out of the oven.
- Allow cookies to cool completely before rolling them again in powdered sugar.
