Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream together cold butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Divide dough into nine equal portions (about 6 ounces each), shaping them into rough balls without flattening.
- Chill dough balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- Arrange chilled dough balls on prepared baking sheets about three inches apart.
- Bake for about 10-11 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain slightly underbaked.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 10-15 minutes before serving.
