Instructions
- Melt the unsalted butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan until caramelized; let cool.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and sea salt; set aside.
- Beat cooled butter with both sugars until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- Gently incorporate dry ingredients until just combined.
- Chill dough for at least one hour (up to three days).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C); line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Portion dough into balls and place on prepared sheets.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden brown; let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
