- 4 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder

- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1 cup Butter (Cold)
- 1/2 cup Apple (Grated)
- 1 cup Buttermilk (Chilled)
- 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (Chilled)
- 3 tablespoons Honey
- pinch Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Cut cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently stir in grated apple and add buttermilk gradually until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, pat down to about ¾ inch thick, and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the biscuits bake, melt butter and mix with honey and salt for the glaze.
- Brush warm biscuits generously with honey butter glaze before serving.
